After a three-week hiatus, I’m bringing back my “Adopt a Bartender” initiative. Through your generosity, we’ve raised over $4,700 for bartenders thus far. Thank you so very much.
I’m again asking for your help. Let’s see if we can do a little more good for those still struggling to make ends meet. This week I’m adopting Lindsay Chapman. A recent transplant from New Orleans, where her love for Wild Turkey 101 Sazeracs began, she’s presently the sole female resident bartender at New York’s Sweetwater Social. Lindsay started bartending at nineteen; forging her love of knowledge and bourbon has brought her to Kentucky many times searching for an angel’s share.
When she isn’t slinging drinks at Sweetwater, Lindsay devotes much of her spare time to volunteering and giving back to her community. This past September, she worked with the Wild Turkey team and Operation BBQ Relief, to provide food for first responders working in New Orleans. She also enjoys educating new bartenders, conducting and participating in demonstrations alongside Wild Turkey’s JoAnn Street.
I invite you to join me in adopting Lindsay this week. All it takes to tip is a simple contribution to the following PayPal Pool (public and anonymous options available):
This pool has ended, but you can still help Lindsay out via Venmo: @lindsaychapman
Remember – every penny counts. No amount is too little and will go a long way in helping Lindsay in this time of uncertainty. Also, it’s important that I mention that 100% of your donation will be forwarded directly to Lindsay at week’s end. No reductions. No gimmicks. You have my promise.
Thanks for your consideration. Together, through compassion and unity, we will overcome these hard times. We’ll prevail as we always do and be all the better for it.
Cheers and thank you all!
David J.
